The University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Vet Working Dog Center will be hosting its virtual and interactive 2022 Working Dog Conference, “True Grit – Resilience and Mental Fortitude of the Canine Team, April 22-24.
General Registration is $299 and $149 for students (high school, undergrad, post-doc and veterinary). Groups of five or more can register in one transaction for $229 each, which includes access to 2020 Conference recordings. Also available are special offers for students and groups five or more and an opportunity to purchase 2020 conference recordings at a discount.
Two speakers of interest are IWDBA members Dr. Megan Ramos VMD and Dr. Debra L. Zoran DVM, PhD, DACVIM-SAIM.
Ramos, a Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation resident at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center, will present April 23, her topic “Canine Sports Medicine: From injury to apprehensions and fatigue to FEMA. She was recently featured by the IWDBA, spotlighting her work with “Sports Medicine with Working Dogs.”
Zoran, a professor of Small Animal Clinical Sciences who specializes in emergency preparedness and response, and the use of simulations in the teaching of disaster at Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, will present April 24 on “Use of temperature sensing microchips in working dogs.”
