Walking around the grounds

This video is part of our Early Socialization program.

• In our “Exploring the world – unfamiliar environments” video, see how these puppies were originally introduced to this new environment and how the difficulty of the session has been adjusted to meet the puppies’ increased comfort levels.

In this video, the puppies (around 7-8 weeks old) are taken on a walk through an environment that they have been in before. Notice the additional structure provided to the puppies through recall games. They are supported by their mother, a familiar handler and their littermates. You can make use of the natural environment for socialization opportunities that arise, such as the staircase shown towards the end of the video.
